These are the moments I've waited for. These are the moments I dreamed of as a young girl. Having my own family, raising a baby, watching that baby grow, learn, and laugh.
Papa, Liam and Nana
We drove an hour and a half to the Sacramento Train Museum to board the Polar Express. If you are a parent, you can't miss this! Basically it's a re-make of the book. The children arrive in their pajamas, board a train headed to the North Pole, where they are served hot chocolate, and entertainment by tap dancers. The read the book while on the way to the North Pole, and then Santa comes on the train and hands out the first gift of Christmas! Check to see if the Polar Express comes to your area. It's worth every penny!
Before boarding, Liam got to play on a few caboose's they had in the museum. Can I tell you, that this was the happiest day of his life!
When the Polar Express Train pulled into the terminal to pick us up, I literally thought that Liam might pass out from the excitement. He couldn't stop giggling, and was kicking and clapping. It was precious.
Peeking out the window with cousin Morgs to get a glimpse of the Elves making presents at the North Pole.
I love this picture. Prior to this, Liam was waving uncontrollably at the Elves, and screaming "Hey Santa!"
It's moments like this that make me feel so blessed to be this boys mother. I know one day I will wake up, and he will be a grown man. I will cherish these times with my baby knowing that life is short, and that I am blessed beyond measure. It was a magical night, and one that will be ingrained in my memory forever.
